Summary: Flay discovers that hitting the butterflies makes them go back to normal. His solution? Plowing through swarms of them with shuriken. I hope you all brought your umbrellas!
The Log:
This was the last straw. The mansion could lock him up in a library, or make him sing all day, or trap him in school all it wanted, but messing with his secret identity? That was unforgivable! Sure, his disguise was just a cheap mask he bought for five Cole, but it was his secret disguise and there was no way he was getting a new one! That mask had memories! Memories of justice! And allowing the mansion to steal it from him was like letting the mansion beat him. Flay Gunnar wasn’t going to be bested by a stupid house. NEVER!
Heaving his mech sword over his shoulder, he ran down the halls of the mansion, looking for that elusive butterfly that was his mask-the mask of the Defender of Justice. But there were so many butterflies clogging up the mansion’s airspace is was impossible to see anything. Well, he’d just have to get rid of them!
“OUT OF THE WAAAAY!” was his only warning as the alchemist swung his sword down. The blade split open, launching a giant shuriken from inside. It sliced through the butterflies with ease.
And then the slain butterflies started turning back to normal, falling back into the ground as books and lamps and pianos and whatever else had been transformed. And smashing onto the floor and whatever else got in the way. Another victory for the side of justice!
