Suzaku was late as well. He was caught up trying to pry Arthur and Byakko off his hand, whom he had been playing with just before Lelouch asked him to come down to the lobby so they could hang out with Kallen.

After placing them back in the room, he ran down the stairs to where the two should be waiting. He was a bit nervous to see Kallen, since he had heard from Lelouch that she knew something from their future, and Suzaku wasn't sure if he wanted to hear any of it. Although looking at her attitude, it didn't seem like his future self still weren't on good terms with her....

Spotting the two from a mile away, he added a spurt to his running, and reached them in a few seconds. "Sorry!"

Lelouch raised his head to greet Kallen. He waved his hand and gave her a small smile, "It's fine. I just got here." He looked over her shoulder to see Suzaku running towards them. He nodded in response to his apology, the smile still on his face. Wonderful, now everyone was here ( ... )

Walking out the door, Kallen blinked and held a hand up to shield her eyes from the sunlight as she ventured further outside. Once she was used to the light, she tightened her scarf around her neck a bit more and looked back at the other two.

Her eyes grew wide and unexpected tears threatened to spill out. For a moment, it was a year ago, and she was back at Ashford. She half-expected Rivalz and Milly to follow Lelouch and Suzaku out the door. Behind her would be Shirley, waving her greetings at the four of them, telling them to hurry up.

Shaking her head, Kallen turned her back to the pair and vigorously rubbed at her eyes with a gloved hand, hoping Lelouch or Suzaku hadn't noticed.
