Where Outside the Mansion
When: During the entire duration of the Halloween Event.
Rating: G-PG. ♥
Summary: Tripped too many traps already? Don't worry, you're not the only one. At least you can join the fun~ ♥
the Story:
It's hard to say if the Mansion's Halloween decor is any more or less creepy from the outside-- tonight, it's little more than a mass of dark spikes stretching towards the sky, with a single tower rising high above the rest. There doesn't seem to be an obvious entrance, though it's unlikely anyone wants to get back in there in a hurry.
Still, at least there's a party, or the makings of one!
The mansion's grounds have been lined with long tables groaning under the weight of assorted food-- all themed with the holiday in mind, of course. Pumpkins and sweet potatoes seem to be popular ingredients for main courses, along with berry and nut-themed desserts. Small, bubbling pots of what smells like soup but looks like congealed snot sit on top of small burners. There are deep bowls of what looks like blood but, upon a taste reveals itself to be surprisingly fruity punch.
On the less wholesome and healthy side of things, fondant cakes that have been shaped into such appetizing things as open ribcages (organs and all) and craniums should be more than enough to satisfy whatever cannibalistic urges any of the residents have this night; for the less gore-inclined, there are more traditional desserts, and a selection of cupcakes decorated with monster-shaped candy.
Speaking of candy: there is, of course, an enormous amount of it, filling bowls to the brim.
Most of the illumination comes from candles and pumpkin lanterns strewn all over the place (the designs are oddly familiar, should they be inspected) but a cheerful bonfire is crackling off to one side, benches and blankets provided for comfortable seating. If watching the flickering light gets too dull, there are tubs of water filled with bobbing apples, and other small games...
Not that the residents can't make their own fun. ♥
