Not a creature was stirring, save for the Mouse. )
So, to each floor she did as she was told, despite the growing dizziness she was feeling. Her fever had been going down, but it was starting to go back up again as she exerted herself; dropping off every little bag of sweets on the 10th and 9th floor (except for Demyx and Xigbar's room of course) and was dragging the bag of presents down to the 8th floor.
Her face was starting to turn a little more pinkish as the chill of weather outside seeped into Yotsuba's body, making her shiver more so than normal.
Upon reaching the 8th floor, she starts to leave the small jangling bags on each person's door until she notices a beeping noise, "...?"
One step forward... another step forward and she's facing a mechanical mouse... robot.. thing.
"....?" Her green eyes stare at it curiously.

"Aren't...Shouldn't you be in bed, green bean?" Aww, she's shivering. Slag his fuel pump right to the pit, the girl's probably sick, too. "It's late for you to be out! You're gonna sleep through everyone getting to see what you got them if you're up so late," he says, with (somewhat genuine) concern.

While she wants to do nothing but go back to where Daddy and Scarface were sleeping and rest herself, she's been given a job to do! So, the clover girl bows to Rattrap and then reaches into her jacket (that's covering her pajama's) and pulls out a small list of people who get special gifts..
.... ah! The robot thing gets a special gift! "Ah! I have a gift for you!" Aaaaand she begins digging in the bag.

He kneels down, to be more on the level you know, and tries to check her temperature with his IR filter, frowning at the readouts. She's sick, all right. Definitely a fever, probably got a cold.
"Yotsub," He doesn't have her whole name, after all, "You're sick. You should really be in bed. Can't you just give out those gifts tomorrow? When you feel a little better? Yeah?" This better not have anything to do with that note his future self left him. (Rattrap suspects it does.)

Holding the present out, she moves to hand it over to Rattrap with a big smile on her face (even though the poor thing is sick. What a trooper.) "Here you go!"

"Fine then, Yotsuba, okay green bean, gotcha. So why do you have to deliver them now?" Sure, the bot's still concerned, but now we've got curiosity in the mix. He knows people. People don't do things without a reason, even if it's a little ridiculous.
And then he carefully unwraps the box, trying to keep an optic on both girl and gift at the same time. It's harder than you'd think.

"Because the Summer Fairy said so! .. She said I won't get good gifts this year.. and that everyone'll be sad if I don't do it!" There was an almost look of upset that fell over her childish face before looking at the long list, "I don't want everyone to be sad!"
Inside of the box was a nice little block of muenster cheese wrapped up in plastic to prevent it from going bad.

But, uh. Now what? What's the protocol when it comes to gift cheese from small humans? After a moment, he decides that 'tucking it away in a compartment' is a reasonable course of action.
"I'll try it later," He explains. "Right now, though... you seriously need to get back to bed. But-" Hmm. "If I get you back in your bed, you'll just sneak back out, won't you." It's less a question than a statement.
"...Just how many of these gift things are there?"

She then looks at the clock in the hallway and squeaks before closing up the bag, "I'm gonna go. I'll be late if I don't finish!"
As she says that, the little girl bows politely and starts to drag the bag behind her to start putting more little baggies on everyone's door.

"You'll get done a lot faster if you let me help, you know," he quietly offers, catching up quickly. It helps that, for once, he isn't the shorter one.
"I could..." Rattrap hmms as he walks. "I could carry you! Yeah. Like this." And with that, he transforms. "See? Plenty of room for you and that bag." He doesn't try and make her do anything, of course, but there's nothing else to do except gripe at his door more, and quite frankly, saving Christmas (even a little bit) is more exciting.
Clearly, Rattrap does not care at all about this. None. Nada. Zip.
