So I had to jump on and blog about the highlight of the glorious day. But I'll build it up just because I have that complex within me.. Two exams today, Spanish (joke.) and Social Problems, which turned out to have alot of questions from the chapters in the text. I just scrubbed the surface on those.. though extra credit was given for bringing in your voter registration. Walt's strong point is the extra credit. So I'm fairly confident about my final grades for the semester.
So I heard from the Vet's club about an emergency check given to those vets awaiting benefits for the Fall 09 semester. I finally made it out to the Regional Office in St. Pete to pick up a check written out for 3,000 dollars.. yes. It's moments like these where I don't regret joining the Navy not a second. The VA is always there to help us out.. and put us through college. I will now be able to get myself out of this small bind with my credit card. I'm going to think twice about using the stupid card, except for EMERGENCY purposes. Mami had convinced me to use it to fix the front axel on the GP, so I guess that was a necessity. After all the luck in things I've received this past year, there isn't a trace in my heart that He isn't looking out for my well being. This year has been progressive to me in that I've seen the the light of God's love, and there's nothing sweeter, nothing. I will now be able to have a slightly better Christmas for my girls. I think I wanna get Vanessa a purse, hmm. Mami spoke about a short 2-day to New York to see the tree at Rockefeller. Though I think it's a bit short notice.
