MISSION POST: Shi Maro - Day 48 - Private
Shi Maro never really slept; in the absence of night and day its personnel operated on shifts. Nevertheless at this particular moment, coming up on the end of a shift but not yet at the changeover, the corridors were quiet. Only a few people had reason to be moving around.
One of these people was Peri Ananka, a young recruit assigned to the station. She tried not to fidget nervously as she waited in the hallway that led to the airlock of the docked Federation ship. She had already been waiting a while...where were they? Would she get in trouble if they were late?
After what seemed like an age the airlock finally began to cycle. With a sigh of relief she straightened and headed toward the delegation as they emerged, stepping smartly up to the captain. She clasped her hands behind her back and bowed slightly. "Welcome to Shi Maro, sir," she said in passable if somewhat accented Standard; "I am Recruit Ananka. I have been assigned to show you to the conference room."
