Kitchen -- Day 37 -- [open/unfinished]

Mar 23, 2010 20:26

For all the advances in technology, for all the computers, wizzy beep things and transporters there were in the universe, sometimes, a big wrench and elbow grease was more useful.

Tony grumbled to himself as he lay under the sink a wrench in one hand and an unlit cigarette in his mouth. He was gonna light it at some point. Maybe.

Plumbing really hadn't changed over the thousands or so years since it's invention, and that meant that crap still got caught in the elbow and clogged up your drain. Technically, he was supposed to call engineering and get someone up here, but he knew from experience you save those calls. That way, when it was really important, people like Scotty would be more likely to send someone quick.

Tony hadn't made Chief on just his good looks. Despite appearances, there was a brain in there, somewhere, under all the drug damage.

So, that meant he was on his back, trying to get a rather reticent joint to move.

His wrench slipped and he nearly conked himself on the head with the heavy tool.

"Mother Fucking Tribble Tits."
