Sickbay - Day 25 - Closed/Unfinished

Nov 30, 2009 00:18

The words "shore leave" usually caused visions of being off of the ship. Or at least out of your department. Such was not the case for Christine and the more dedicated members of the medical team. And, by that, she meant that Anderson was nowhere to be found, and their CMO didn't quite miss him enough to hunt him down and drag him in ( Read more... )

Scotty was mid-rant as they made it through the door to medbay, half dragging and half carrying his concussed subordinate. "-don't need the safety harness, you said. Bloody idiot. If we'd had to drop everythin' to scrape your stupid arse off the scenery-" He spotted Christine and hauled Luke over towards her. "Special delivery. Got someone can take this one off my hands?"

"...'s not like I meant t' fall.." With a hand pressed to his head where a bloodied cloth was at the younger engineer was just slightly on the groggy side. It hadn't been a bad fall, or, well, as bad as it could have been. A few bruises and cuts were healthy in Lucas' opinion which is one of the major reasons he was grinning wide inspite of his current situation.

"The harness would'a made it worse. Might have snapped off an arm in that damnable contraption."

Eyeing the pair presented before her - one annoyed and one bloodied - Christine quirked an eyebrow. "What happened?" she asked, sounding almost bored. Pushing snarky remarks aside, she grabbed for a tricorder and started scanning the bloodied one. It was easy enough to tell what Scott's issue was.

"And name, please?"

"He managed to fall off the scrubbers an' crack his head on a pipe," Scotty replied, casting Lucas a dirty look. It was an unspoken understanding that if you didn't use the safety gear, you made sure you didn't need it.

Engineer Reynard dealt with - and successfully stormed out of Sickbay - and Doctor Tyler back to doing whatever it was he'd been doing before, Christine took a moment to shake her head in disapproval before reaching up to shut off the biobed's monitor. As she turned away, fully intending to grab a PADD and file this before she forgot about it, she noticed Reynard hadn't taken his boss with him. Well, then. If Scott was going to hang around Sickbay, he was going to be talked to.

"You need to stop hurting your crew mates and then hauling them up here for me to fix, you know, Mister Scott," she said, sounding reproachful but not bothering to hide her friendly smirk. "It's getting suspicious."

"I can't help it if you have a suspicious mind," Scotty replied cheerfully, making himself at home against a vacant biobed.

Christine gave him a look as she passed, heading for a PADD left on a work table before the intrusion. "I really don't think my mind's the issue here, sir."

"There's no need to call names," he said. Being referred to as 'sir' was never not going to be strange and disconcerting.
