Various - Afternoon 20 ((Private/Standalone (?))

Nov 07, 2009 11:51

Sky didn't consider herself to be a sentimental person, not someone to be easily guilt-tripped by a sad tale or a quivering lower lip. But when it came to the people she cared about, loved even, then she had a tendency to lean towards little gestures of affection, rather than grand public displays.

So mid afternoon when Jim and Leo were out of their respective quarters, Sky snuck in, and left for them, a small present.

For Leo she left a wonderfully rare medicinal plant, a bright blue shade which stood out, almost glowing in the dim room. With it was a small note 'Just feed it a vial of water a day, and keep it in the shadows and it will thrive. Thank you for everything, - Sky'

And then Jim, she left him a beautiful rare flower, one that travellers had called the Breath of Helen. Delicate and palest gold, it gleamed. His note read, Princesses like roses. I don't. The nector of this flower provides you with luck, but it takes care for it to produce it. Thank you for being such a good friend. - Sky'

And then she left the hallway, leaving the little gifts and the notes behind, and seeking refuge on the Observation deck, watching the skies fly by. She didn't know if Jim and Leo would take the gifts the wrong way, as a buying off tool, or something similar. She hoped not, and hoped they would realise, that all she was trying to say, was she loved them.
