Re: Hello

Hi there Mum, this is to both you and dad. (Sorry I didn't put his name in the header. Wasn't sure it would get sent if I did!)

We are going to be out of range of face to face communications for a while and as I am cofined to quarters due to an injury, I thought that I'd write.

Well this has been a far move eventful trip that I had anticipated, or wanted for that matter. I was invloved in an accident that has left me confined to quarters for a few. It's not all bad as I have finally managed to finish my painting of the Enterprise NCC1701. It's funny. Until I did that painting I never really appriciated how beautiful she is. I think that I now understand why CO's get so attached to there ships. Having seen down in the engine room, I can also understand why Chief Engineers get attached to their engines.

I know that you wanted a member of the family in Command and on the bridge. I'm sorry that that isn't going to happen now. I know that Andrew would've made a damned good Captain. He told me once that when he got to be Captain, he knew exactly who he wanted for his Chief Engineer. He meant me. I miss him so much mum .... Hey I am sorry I didn't write this to be maudlin.

You know that someday I will make it to Chief Engineer don't you? I want you to be as proud of me as you were of Andrew.

I hope that all is well with the family. Please tell Uncle David that someone really did say that the Universe tastes of Raspberries and it wasn't just me being silly.

Hope that this finds you both well.

Love and Hugs

Cassie Ros
