DAYWATCH, BSG: RAZOR, and THE NINE news

ABC has pulled THE NINE again after airing the first two of six previously unaired episodes. I caught the series last week again and I think it is a shame it was pulled. I wonder if the way the ratings system is set up is to blame for the low ratings of THE NINE or is it just the way the summer viewing time is. grrr.

In DVD news, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: RAZOR extended Director's Cut is released on DVD on 12/4 from Universal after the airing of the BSG TV movie RAZOR on 11/24. Also FOX has announced DAYWATCH as an unrated extended edition for 10/30/2007. The DAY WATCH Unrated Edition DVD includes the original theatrical Russian language version of the film, as well as an English language dub, along with The Making of Day Watch featurette, plus director commentary, the US theatrical trailer, original Russian trailers (6) , and Russian TV spots (16).

SYNOPSIS for DAYWATCH- DAY WATCH revolves around the conflict and balance maintained between the forces of light and darkness -- the result of a medieval truce between the opposing sides. Each side has gained a powerful Great Other, who are headed for a clash, and Anton Gorodetsky is once again caught up in the midst of this conflict. On one side is Anton’s son, Egor, who has joined the ranks of the Dark Others, while Anton’s love interest Svetlana is the hope of the Light. But that’s just the beginning of his troubles: Anton is on the run after having been accused of murder. Things are getting worse, and only the ancient Chalk of Fate can save the day. The problem is the magical Chalk was lost hundreds of years ago.
