A couple of articles on Rutger Hauer. It was BLADE RUNNER's good fortune that Rutger turned down DAS BOOT.

I wish I had the DVD with me right now, so I could watch BLADE RUNNER again. I do have a couple of BR sources to reread anytime- the BLADE RUNNER interviews in STARLOG 184 and FUTURE: THE MAKING OF BLADE RUNNER by Paul M. Sammon. FUTURE NOIR does need to be updated and added to since new info on the film as in regard to DVD and the 100 pages of text Paul had to cut out at the last minute when the book was first published all those years ago.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."- Roy Batty
Plenty of quotes on BR at the Internet Movie Database:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0083658/quotes So I declare this BLADE RUNNER week and I'll do my best to write about the film at least once more this week. If you're a big fan of the film, reply and tell me what is so great about.
Ridley Scott's final cut of BLADE RUNNER gets a theatrical release later this year. watch for it or just wait to see on the ultimate BR SE.
