I'm a-walkin' down the street and there I see a cherry pie...
I have no idea why I titled my journal entry that.
Anyway.
I just had a day. Isn't that shocking? *gasp* In all reality, it was just a day. A mixed bag. The usual.
Good things:
1. I've been very hyper for a good bit of the day. More of a random hyper than a hyperactive hyper, but you know. Hyper is hyper any way you slice it.
2. I played my guitar for quite a long time today. How I love my guitar. *cradles guitar lovingly* Rock-a-bye baby, in the treetop...
3. I've got two and a half of the six essays that need to be done by Friday morning finished. SPEED WRITE TIME!
4. Found out today that I've got straight A's as of right now in the trimester. Quite nice. I was at least expecting a B in Algebra 2.
5. My room is mildly clean. Sort of. Kind of. You could say. In a way. A bit...
6. I watched The Longest Day, a WWII movie (I have a bit of an obsession with WWII and war movies), and finished it up late last night - or early in the morning. For being a black and white film shot in the 1960s, it was good, even though none of the actors knew how to die, and the fighting and acting was highly unrealistic. The Longest Day BOOK is quite good too. I recommend it.
Bad things:
1. My trumpet section sucks. God, I'm sick of these people slacking off. No one knows their part for the concert/festival music except me and one other girl, K (Kayla), and K2 (Kelsie) (a FRESHMAN who somehow became section leader even though she can't even play sixteenth notes or get past high E) (I realize this is utter gibberish to most of you, please accept my apology) can't play a note of her music. The sextet we have for Solo And Ensemble is going to be horrible. I got bumped up to first part because no one else can play it. And I get supposedly "unplayable" solos shoved in front of me every three seconds in the concert music. GAH!
I'm sorry. I'm done rambling.
2. I'm running out of eyeliner. To me, this is a true crisis. :D
3. I just realized I haven't paid my third payment for my Spanish 2/AP English trip to Chicago. Oops.
4. P is still being an idiot, as am I. Bleah.
5. I've had a headache all day.
6. I should've taken a shower at six or so; that way my hair could dry so I can straighten it without waiting up until one in the morning. I did not take a shower. I still have not. Oh well. It'll give me time to write the essays. ;)
In other words, a fairly tolerable day.
You know, it's kind of funny. I have been in a real headbanging mood lately. Techno, metal, rock, punk, just about anything on my iPod, if I hear it I start headbanging. I love it, but normally I don't spend three hours just rocking out in the middle of my room. *scratches head thoughtfully* Hmmm...
I have a question I might pose to you all later tonight, but until then...OOH, LOOKITY THE PRETTY LIGHTS!
