I really should get on here more often. I haven't gotten back into the habit yet, so when I do get on, I go to my friends' page and KABOOM! Seventy billion, thirty million, two hundred twenty-eight thousand, nine hundred and sixty-one entries for me to read. You all write too much. ;)
I'm so glad it's the weekend. WHO ELSE GETS MONDAY OFF? *grins* I'm so happy, I love long weekends. But I might have to spend the extra day at my horrible grandparents. Bleagh. :P But other than that, I'm in a good mood. Solo and Ensemble in two weeks (I'm in the brass chamber ensemble, plus I've got a trumpet solo). Lots of homework this weekend - in AP, Hamlet test on Tuesday (GAH!), plus we have to recite/write down from memory the "To be or not to be" and "O, that this too, too sullied flesh would melt" soliloquies. (Am I spelling that right?) Joy. But I do love Hamlet - one of my favorite plays ever.
Oh, I was thinking about posting a video/recording of me playing my guitar and singing that horribly depressing song that's right down there. *points* Actually, that's just the first verse and the chorus, but whatever. You get what I mean. Now, if only I could gather up the courage...
I walked through the doorway
I heard you speaking from below the floor
And there I found you dead, beneath the cellar door
Rosebushes of bleeding vines decorate your arms
And they leak even as I hear you scream once more
Like a shadow under my bed...
Once you were dead
But no longer do you live
And I was the one who made you scream at night...
I stayed here with your body
Held you until the dawn
I gave you bloody kisses
And it went on and on
Cold hands on pale skin makes for light in the dark night
But you -
Oh, god, the ice, you burn
But we've learned
How to say good night.
Yeah. Majorly depressing. Out of the forty some songs I've written, I only think two were happy. Maybe three. The closest I can get otherwise is melancholy or nostalgic. I can't even write happy songs when I'm HAPPY. Happy other stuff, yes, but songs, hell no.
I can write sweet instrumentals, though. XD
