i guess i'd fall somewhere within the boundaries of atheist; as bad as it might sound, i've really never been able to make myself care enough to really get involved in any religion; i don't know enough about any of them to agree or disagree. maybe if i was a braver person i'd be willing to accept the idea of some sort of god or higher power just on a basic level, but... i'm not, and i can't even make myself seriously consider the idea. i guess i'm just not willing to accept the idea of something so unfathomable. i used to call myself a satanist but i don't think i ever actually believed in satan or the devil or anything like that; i was just drawn to the fact that it's so taboo.

I've always thought of atheism as a very honest option; you don't believe in anything and you're not going to pretend you do. If it's unfathomable, it's unfathomable.

And somehow, the Satanist thing doesn't surprise me. ;)

haha, satanists actually don't have bad ideals. they're not terrible. at least i think so.

No, I didn't mean the "bad ideas" general stereotype; I meant the taboo subject in general. I seem to recall telling my parents I had converted to Wicca just because I was hooked on the subject at the time and wanted to see how badly I could scare them.

yeah, i understand what you mean, and that's kind of what i wanted too. to shock people. when i was in high school, this girl who was sort of like... a friend of a friend of a friend? she used to say i must have been "full of demons." seriously, that's exactly what she would say about things. "full of demons." so of course she was pretty horrified about the satanism thing, lol. i always thought it was pretty funny.
