I've coined a new phrase: productive procrastination
It's when you have something pressing to do and you put it off until the last minute, but you do other, less pressing things in place of it. You are still accomplishing something you need to get done, just nothing pressing.
I've been doing this all weekend. I have a 5 page paper due tomorrow, and I dont have a word written yet. But this weekend I worked on a scholarship for japan (not due till the 17th) an application for japan (not due till the first) and worked on some japanese lessons (not leaving till january at the earliets, march at the latest).
