Summary Is Not A Four-Letter Word

Cutting to the chase:
Saturday: Worked at Chuck's, it was nice to be back for a couple of hours, then people arrived. Drat. Niila's party, too- here there be friends.
Sunday: Picked up Niila, I whined during the whole unsuccessful journey to find an alpaca farm, but she cheered me up like the angel she is. Martina's party was hopping, but Nil and I had to leave early to take care of a few things. Ended up being late to work, but don't worry, I didn't get any rest, since it took until midnight to get the place relatively shiny anyway.

*Pause for breath.*

Moonday: Moonday, being today, was a very good day with only one, but a particularly important, low. In the morning at camp, we had a workshop with renowned local actor/director Andrew May, who was just as cool in person as one might expect plus he acted at Williams Theatre last summer. After that, a grand total of three of us decided we wanted to swim, after Mrs. Pribble's encouragement that "it's perfectly fine outside." Within minutes, cue torrential downpour the likes of which I haven't seen since I was trapped in my car on one specific day. They wouldn't let us in the pool, and one guy chickened out and ran inside. But the other dude and I further established ourselves as the camp clowns by using the grassy, muddy puddles as makeshift Slip N' Slides, literally stealing first and third base from a nearby baseball field for use as surfboards, and taking showers in the drain pipe water...all directly in front of the building in which everyone else has taken shelter! It was a hoot, despite the fact that I still feel like my skin is crawling with communicable diseases. The downside of the day was that my final time performing the scene from Proof was a real bust, even worse than the last time we did it. I certainly was in over my head. Thankfully, my next scene is from Neil Simon's Chapter Two is both easier and funny, and I have a better partner to work with. Got a ride home with one of the camp instructors who turned out to be way, way cool, as we didn't stop talking the whole way home.

Did you miss my links? Didn't think so.
- Download, unzip, and play the song stuck in my head, i.e. the current music. A slower, jazzy track featuring the British female vocalist with an interesting sound.
- This Land Is Your Land remix, bipartisan in that it takes potshots at both sides.
- More about the whip than you could probably ask without blushing, but it's interesting to note that it's pretty weak as a weapon.
- For Adam- According to this long article, graphic novels may phase out novels much like novels phased out poerty.
- Naptime, anyone?
- Fork-You.com- These people make spoons and forks soft like putty with their minds, and then bend them into neat shapes with their hands. I'm still skeptical, even after the step by step instructions, but how cool would it be...

Party on, audience.
