I Am A Dance Dance Revolutionary

Reference here. After much struggling with faulty power cords and missing CD's, I finally got DDR to work on the old Playstation we have upstairs. The pad is all busted and rarely responds, in addition to the fact that it only has the age-old games with songs that no one has heard of...but I still had a blast dancing for a sold out crowd of 0. Stop by anytime if you think you can take me, suckas! And here's a humorous link if you want to check out the competition.

Today has been extremely uneventful. Besides DDR, I have been occupying myself with KOTOR, which means nothing to most people, and those who do know will probably hang their heads in shame and deny it. Yesterday was nice, Nil and I went out for the second time in two days, a rare feat. First we saw Harry Potter, which was good, but not particularly good. Lunch from Panera shuttled off to a particular bench at Shaker Lakes, a memorable spot from before we started dating where (many moons ago) we bought a whole pumpkin pie, ate some, and left the rest to the ducks. But back to the present. Ran ~3 miles with my Dad, and found that perhaps I'm not in as bad shape as I thought I was.

Today I will refocus my usually random linkfest on the online comics that I read. All of these are good (if not always clean, I feel compelled to say) fun, and I recommend starting from the beginning of each strip that you decide to check out, or you may not get it.

Without Further Ado, the All-Stars:
- Penny Arcade - It's geeky, it's about video games, it's very random, and it's one of the funniest ones out there.
- Sinfest- As Grace so eloquently put it, it "says all the things that you want to say but haven't." God using handpuppets, the Devil running a wishing booth (ala Lucy from Peanuts), a literal chauvanist pig. Amusing.
- Count Your Sheep - Recently discovered, I've quickly taken a liking to this cutesy all-blue comic about a little girl, her talking sheep, and her mom.
- Diesel Sweeties - Lots of fun characters, from Indie Rock Pete, to naive Clango the Robot who is dating an ex-porn star, to the hu-man crushing Red Robot.
- You Damn Kid! - Definately the most overtly dirty and politically incorrect comic of the ones I've mentioned, but loads of fun. An adult looks back on his Cathlic-schoolboy childhood, with hilarious results. Definately start at the beginning here, and you won't be able to stop. Special shout outs to Brandon and Selwyn, who I think will share my amusement at this. Too funny!

Others I can think of that I especially like to check out occasionally:
- Wigu - The only real "story" comic that I like. The story of the young kid Wigu and his misadventures.
- Buttercup Festival - Minimalist and weird, but fun to read in the right mood.
- PVP (Player vs. Player) - The original geek comic.

That's enough for one day. If you have any of your own you'd like me to check out, do tell me and I'll let you know if I've seen it. Cheerio! -Steve
