Surprise!
You'd be amazed what you can get if you have the right connections. Sure, I wasn't exactly the most popular person to know in LA right now. Being around me was bad for living purposes. Still, I had a few contacts that liked money more than they liked safety. One of them happened to be a warlock with a nifty little spell that he taught me. A spell that would let me enter whatever residence I wanted, one time only. Well, one time per spell, anyway.
Lilah had been avoiding me. I knew there was no way to get her back into my place. I also knew that going to Wolfram & Hart would be some sort of death with, even if I just hung around her car. That would be too much like Angel anyway, and who wants that? No, I wanted to do something different. So, I helped myself to her scotch and waited for her to arrive after work. This should make for an interesting evening.
