"Um-- s-sorry," Fletcher stuttered out. He hadn't meant to barge in. (He also wasn't aware of how busy the holodeck usually was. Way to go.)

"No, kiddo, you don't have to leave." He said with a sad smile. "I was just... trying something, and it didn't work. Made me sad. I was planning on leaving anyhow, if you wanted to use this." He again tried his best to smile, but it was the smile of someone desperately sad, someone who didn't have anything to live for.

"I... I was just looking around, it's okay..." He didn't have the first idea how this technology worked, to begin with. "Um, are you okay though?"

"I'm... I'm trying to leave something I don't want to be behind me, and it's coming hard. Someone your age shouldn't know about things like that." He finally at least managed a smile that wasn't full of sorrow, though it remained fake.
"What are you here for?"

"I was looking around... I, um, I just woke up from one of those sleep pods," he explained. If the man didn't want to discuss it, he wouldn't press the subject. "I was sick so they made me go back to sleep for a while..."
