2a. I gotta remember to post more. I haven't been active enough, I know.

2b. Logs are mandatory now? You said we could still throw input - I didn't before because A) I'm new, and B) I didn't know we were talking logs - I thought it was just optional threading.

Personally, comms with mandatory logs have always been a serious turn off to me. I don't think it's anyone's business but those involved in the scene as to what was going on in said scene, and despite what people try to keep filtered, that OOC/IC knowledge line gets crossed. It's inevitable.

I've always felt like logs are a waste of time, especially when you get constantly running lines that fall behind when someone has to brb for a while, and it just becomes a major hassle to get the actual log together. I've never understood the point.

I think having the option to use your journal as a journal, or the option to scene via the journal if you prefer that over AIM are good options to have. I don't think posting logs should be mandatory, though. Just something to prove activity.

Ah yeah they are OOC :P
2a. :P A lot of people have had that issue.

2b. They don't have to contain the entire rp or even threading. Just an open-ended post in them and then when someone responds with an sn or such you can move it to where ever. Though it's not the fault of the person if no one responds to the attempt to start a scene, etc. But you don't have to post things you don't want public.

I didn't mean for it to be the actual "log" so much as a beginning of a scene and then when someone picks up to rp in that scene they either thread on that post, a journal or in AIM.

To me it's just a way to do more than oh hey new youtube video LOOK.

There is no other way to really prove you're doing more than squatting. I think having an open post and someone picking it up is a way to get people to do more than sit around on their hands in the community.
