Normally we mail once a month, but we wanted to make sure that everyone had advance notice of our awesome upcoming New York City adventures, and also of an exciting circus performance in Northampton MA, early in April!

So if you're in the NY area, take note: the weekend of April 2/3 we are going to be rocking out all over the city.

Saturday April 2nd, we're hitting the very intriguing-looking What Happens When, as suggested by a offhand comment in a blog post.  "What Happens When" you open a 9-month installation restaurant and mention you want a marching band stomping through?  The universe provides!  We'll be hitting the restaurant around 7pm, and will probably busk in a park nearby before or after.

(reservations recommended for dinner)

Then we're off to Brooklyn for the Brass-n-Bass Dance Party!  "A simple-n-sweet down-n-dirty friends-n-family dance party in a church basement. Take one steampunk brass band - the visiting Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band - and add three underground bass-tastic favorites - $mall ¢hange, Joro Boro & Dirtyfinger, and you have a recipe for a perfect Brooklyn dance party night. Come get a sneak peek at the lower half of our amazing new event space. Fire dancers welcome (enclosed yard). Festive dress always encouraged, but no costume required. Cheap drinks. No one turned away for lack of funds."

Then Sunday, it's the big NYC event we've been looking forward to for months: THE ANACHRONISM!

Affordable, inclusive, and set to rock out with a huge number of incredibly talented performers, The Anachronism is going to be one gigantic party.

We are very excited to be joining a lineup that includes the Gypsy Nomads,  The White Elephant Burlesque SocietyVoltaire; Psyche Corporation and more.  We are expecting to do a door-opening welcome set around 3pm, and then will be back on to kick off the evening at 7pm.  Details are still evolving, so check out the facebook page and website for the up-to-the-minute updates!

Once we get back to Boston, we have a few days to catch our breath, and then we are VERY excited to announce our participation in Valve: Antique Vaudeville Circus.  "Through the long, cold winter six acrobats have been creating a dazzling production steeped in rhythmic fanfare. Featuring a variety of spectacular aerial and ground acrobatic performances that highlight the best of vaudeville entertainment with a circus twist, “Valve” takes its cast and places them at a tea party when time stops. As they try to make sense of their situation, silliness, cacophony, and mayhem ensue. Hosted by an enigmatic ringmaster, performances include Single Point Trapeze, Partner Trapeze, Aerial Double Slings, Partner Acrobatics, Hand Balancing, Contortion, Diablo, Tumbling, and Aerial Chains. The show features live music by Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band. As time stops, the adventure begins!"
