Last Mon. & Tues. ENSMB had the distinct pleasure of making an appearance at the "Who Killed Amanda Palmer?" shows at the Paradise. When they launched the tour, a call was put out for horn players/sections in the hopes that they could find some in each city they were playing in. Apparently throughout Europe and so far in the US they haven't had much luck, at which point ENSMB swooped in to save the day!
Miss Palmer's tour is quite the artistic and logistical endeavor, and with the help of our good friends the Army of Broken Toys and Vermillion Lies, both of whom were on the tour and in the trenches, we made our way into being a part of the spectacle.
This is every one of the musicians that were a part of the Amanda Palmer shows on Mon. & Tues at the Paradise, including a chunk of ENSMB, the Army of Broken Toys, Vermillion Lies, the Builders & the Butchers, and, of course, Amanda Palmer.
It was a stunning experience and a veritable extravaganza of entertainment...for not one but TWO nights! oh Boston, we're just too good to you. ;)
we kicked things off each night by beguiling the eager crowd on the street prior to their entry. sure it was rainy and it was cold, but no matter! when ENSMB is needed, we gurantee to deliver! here we are in the street in appropriate funerary garb, mourning the passing of AFP and celebrating her life.
while we rocked the sidewalk as fans filed in the venue, upon entering the big room they were further seranaded by the Army of Broken Toys.
next up were the enchanting & seductive Vermillion Lies, whose set featured a cameo appearance by us, as we added our flavor to the song "Organ Donor's March". Sadly this video cuts off right before we made our entrance, so just imagine some marching band awesomeness going on as soon as it ends.
next up, we were pleasantly rocked by the Builders & the Butchers. these guys kicked ass and we wish we could have made a guest appearance in their set. they are returning to Boston in Feb, so maybe we'll get our chance!
and at last, the woman we were all there to see.

after an epic 2.5 hour set, at last ENSMB was called into service for an "all hands on deck" encore of her new tune "Leeds United" (see picture above)
all in all, it was a spectacular two nights and we were delighted to have the WKAP tour crash through our lives! apologies to those of you that missed it, but fret not. Amanda called us "the biggest and most pleasant surprise of the tour so far", and is interested in doing something a bit more elaborate with us (ah the intoxicating power of a stationary marching band!) so keep your appendages crossed, and we'll see what's in store for the future!
