Humidifiers are Awesome

I usually get a bad cold in the fall and spring - part of being a teacher. I rarely need to take a day off for these because they are more annoying than debilitating and then they're over in 7-10 days. This year I barely got my fall cold - just a bit of runny nose and one day that I was really tired

Walgreens. Walgreens by Sunbeam 2.0 gallon output per day Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier. They sell them everywhere and they're not expensive at all. This one's very quiet and has never given me any trouble. Do buy distilled water for it, though; if you don't you end up with white mist/powder everywhere from the minerals in the water.

I should add that my humidifier says "2 gallon output per day" but it only holds a gallon. It runs about 12 hours on one fill. I also have a filterless design.
