It's true that each pilot has his own preferences, and his machine should serve them.
Do you plan to do anything about its choice of weaponry?

Nnngh... well we already have it, so I should make use of it. If I want to use a ballistic weapon, we have them on base anyway. Mobile suits have hands for a reason, right?

That's true. It's easier to switch armanents of a mobile suit than, for example, of a transforming fighter.

I take it there is a reason you prefer not to use beam weaponry. May I inquire on that reason?

Hah, it's just personal preference, really. To be honest I'm just more used to ballistics.

I see. A pilot of ground-based mobile suits would have more experience with conventional weapons. I have no first-hand experience on that matter, but I recall beam weaponry was mostly used in space environment.

Well, funny thing is I used to be more used to piloting in space, but I've got more ground experience under my belt now.

A soldier's path may take him all over the world, and beyond. We go wherever we are needed, ground or space.

I wonder is it hard for a man with family. But I do not wish to intrude into privacy of others.

Then, allow me to wish for you to be able to reunite with your family as soon as possible.

I brought this topic up, as one of pilots from my squadron has a family as well. His is currently living in City Seven, which was seperated from GDF a while ago and was still not found by then. As a single man, I cannot imagine how he must feel about this - but I believe he must be incredibly worried.

... if he's a soldier, I think he knows how to deal with it. It's not too unusual to be separated for long times. But my heart goes out to him.

Thank you. I am sure he appreciates it.

I should not freely discuss the private lives of others, however I felt that I had to make my intentions known.

At any rate, let's hope for many successful operations. So that those of us with families may return to them safety, while others...

H-huh? Wait, I have a family. That's why I really do emphasize with him so much.

Yes, I am aware of this fact. By "we" I meant myself and other bachelors present on the base. My apologies for not making myself clear - I meant no disrespect. It was only a poor choice of words on my part.

Oh! Sorry, misunderstood. No disrespect felt.

Well I wish you luck on that anyway.
