... Kurtis... I didn't see it myself, but I've read the reports and... that was a meaningful death. If I had to choose a way I wanted to die, and it couldn't be a peace way, I think I'd at least want to die to save people.

You know it occurs to me that the number of women on base has really gone up. I think I seriously remember a time when every pilot here was a man... nothing about it really, I just suddenly realized is all.
Another thing that occurs to me is that if you don't count the times I've done it due to having gone MIA, I can't remember the last time I went roughing it. You know, camping. I don't know if we can really be that care free with our time, though.
