ruined for life
I may have actually been ruined for future pie experiences. After a lazy, yet surprisingly active morning at the headwaters of the Mississippi River Jamie and I drove to the "home" (one of many) of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. We had lunch at the Maid-Rite Cafe (built in 1926) which serves the famous Maid Rite sandwich (think Sloppy Joe without the sloppy) and some ri-gosh-darn-diculously fabulous rubarb pie. Go figure.
New York and San Francisco appear to be on our route now =+). We expect to be in California next weekend and in New York sometime near September 20th. =+)
