Which is my point, my friend.

And a robot built with the builders conscious control over the outcome is not the same as a "new" life. Just because it can seem like a human doesn't mean it is or ever will be.

Unless, scientists can completely recreate the conception process w perfect knowledge of DNA, and by using this knowledge, consciously control the outcome of every single aspect of what kind of human they are producing. Then I suppose that is the closest to the real deal as it could get. But it still takes away that element of us not having conscious control of the outcome.
And for some reason, I feel like that is the most important difference between my making a baby and the building of your robot being. We as humans, don't have control of the outcome of our offspring. We don't have control over our very creation.

I'm gonna ask questions today when I goto see the pastor at my church.
