(no subject)
So this week work is a little interesting. The woman who hired me, Lorraine, has had a grievance taken out against her by the other woman who works in the office, Jodi, who has come back from holiday this week. As a result, Jodi did not seem totally thrilled to have me in the office - I think she thought I was a hint to Lorraine thinking her incompetent. The atmosphere in the office has thus been a little frosty this week.
But today Lorraine was out for much of the morning so I interacted with Jodi whilst on my most winning behaviour and I think I won her over. And then Jodi was out for a while in the afternoon so I had a nice chat with Lorraine. I think this has done some good! They managed to exchange more than 5 words today. Office politics eh? Who'd have thought it in a warehouse.
Am currently watching Goblet of Fire as it's on the tv and will be going to see Half Blood Prince again tomorrow. Then it's my friend's birthday party and then the hop festival! Plus I get paid on Friday. Not a bad week really!
Though, it has occurred to me that I really need to get some uni stuff done. I've given myself a slightly arbitrary start date of September 11th to find out about placement stuff, get my report written, write up the intro and method for my dissertation and plan packing!
