Well... Things are okay. Here's the news.
I got a job, YAY! Then, I quit that job. YAY!!! I got a job at Tilt, the arcade in the mall - which was bogus to begin with. I'm a well spoken, educated, and all around not offensive (unless I want to be) 24 year old. Working the arcade in the mall is for the 16 year old who are trying to find dates at work. Anyhow, why I quit. First off, it's at least 90 degrees out here every day. The entire mall has air conditioning except for the arcade! They had it, it broke, and corp. won't fix it because they don't think it would affect productivity of the employees, or help with getting more money. Nevermind the fact that I had to change shirts twice a day at work, or wipe myself down countless times because it was hotter in the fucking arcade than it was outside! Ya think this is time I could be using to do stuff around the arcade.... Hmmmm... Also, no smoking. EVER! If I were to go to the mall on a day off, I could not smoke at the mall at all, I could not hold hands or show any kind of affection with Rae, I cannot curse, I cannot come into the store to play an arcade game, I cannot loiter or window shop. If my boss found out I had done any of these things, I was to be written up, or fired. My boss did not give us breaks - not even to our assistant mgr (who quit the same day I did) when he worked open to close! Which was a fun 13 hour shift for him. No food breaks, no smoke breaks (duh) and every day - you had 2 minutes to run to the food court to get a drink. If you were longer than 2 minutes for any reason other than you were getting very dead, you were written up or fired. On top of not smoking at the mall, you cannot smoke anywhere that the corp. has its equipment. The bowling alley (where you can smoke & serves beer) - you cannot smoke or drink there! The countless bars that have those little coin games, nope. So, yeah. I quit. And I have Rae's support as well as my mom's - so I feel pretty damn good about it.
My mom woke me up the other day by calling me to yell at me. We talked on the phone today, and she said she was having a shitty day, and she was sorry for taking it out on me. Funny. She and I have gotten so close over the past few years. A lot better than we were when I still lived at home.
Rae leaves for 20 days tomorrow. Even though we have had - and always will have - our problems... I'm going to miss her, and I'm going to worry. Just as she told me that she's going to feel the same. I hope her training excersise goes better than it sounds. I worry about her so much when she's right here! How much more am I going to worry about her while she's gone!
I'm sick of bullshit. I like to hang out at the Kettle, lots of cool people, and not a bad place to be. Like the Hurricane, only no bar & internet. But, some people just can't leave things alone! Like this dude... Donny. A lecherous drag queen who likes to tell us all how beautiful he is in drag (gag) and how people often mistake him for a woman (yeah fucking right). He gives us WAY too much info on his sex life - I mean WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much info. Also, he yells at me whenever I come out to the Kettle without Rae. Even though she's asleep at home! He says I should be right there in bed next to her! Even if I'm wide the fuck awake! "When you got married, you gave up your life. Your life is hers, and hers in yours!" That's what he keeps telling me. Yes, to an extent. But Rae doesn't own me, nor do I own her. I can go out with my friends for coffee or a beer when I want to, and if Rae wants me to stay in and hang with her, I usually do!!! To top off the list, I've come to find out he's the one trying to spread the rumor that I'm fucking three of the waitresses here. Two, I only hang out with here - and... No. The other is a friend - but no one that I'd put my penis is, and even then, it's not his fucking business WHO I shtup in my spare time! Ya know that rant that Chris Rock does about black people & niggas? Well, there are homosexuals & fags. And this guy makes fags look delightful! He flat out says he'll fuck anything with a hole! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! What gets me more than anything is that some people fucking listen to him, then they try to start shit with me, Jen, Jeanie, or Dionne. I really wouldn't care - except he's saying things that could get Rae in trouble with the army (mostly about how we cheat on each other - which is BS), and he's making it hard for Jen, Jeanie & Dionne to work here.
