Four people locked themselves to the doors of the TD Bank (NYSE: TD) in Downtown Crossing this morning, blocking traffic on Winter Street to protest the bank’s support of the Dakota Access oil pipeline.
A group calling itself the FANG Collective - for Fighting Against Natural Gas - said in a statement that two people used a series of bicycle locks to lock their necks together, and then lock themselves to the main entrance at 24 Winter Street. Two more people used reinforced PVC pipes to lock their arms to the first two as well in an attempt to keep the entrance to the bank closed.
А я как раз проходила мимо и имела в виду вложить чек. Но не получилось.
Причем до этого я посмотрела кино, где банк обанкротился, и все выглядело примерно так же - куча полиции, пожарные машины, журналисть в камерами заглядывают в стекло. Я не разобралась поначалу, что это против газовой трубы в Дакоте.
