My first bento
And now for something completely different. :)
Right after my last exam, I started planning and preparing my bento for the upcoming Animecon that was held over the week-end. I didn't go to the convention itself, but I did enter the bento making competition they hosted. I don't think I've ever gotten up so early just to make food! I don't know how those Japanese mothers who make kawaii bento for their children everyday, can keep this up for so long! The kitchen looked a complete mess after I was done, but I was fairly (if not completely) satisfied with the result:
The contents are:
- onigiri with mayo-salmon filling
- broccoli
- omlett blocks
- surimi-cucumber maki
- wiener flowers cooked in teriyaki sauce
- fried banana, and a strawberry
I got third place! ^^
