I've gotten used to hearing the word "no".

"We have a lot of people to interview," is actually code for "... and we're going to hire one of them, instead of you," isn't it? :( That's twice this week.

Wish I knew what I keep doing wrong. Someone asked me once how I deal with all the rejection. Honestly, what's the alternative?

I'm just using Truman to pick up a few pre-reqs for a grad program I want to start at National-Louis in January. Stupidly, I signed up for Tues. and Thurs. morning classes, although I thought I was being quite clever arranging my other classes for Saturday and whenever online.

I did look at North Park back when I lived near there, but one of the questions on the general job application was something like, "describe your involvement in a faith community." I've got no problem hanging out with the religious types, but that made it seem as if they would have a problem with me.

It's a teaching thing. I could have started a part-time 2-yr program at Northeastern 2 years ago, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, and so I shopped around. I could've been done with this mess by now!
