This is really sweet. He sounds like a sweet, sensitive little boy. Ronin was the SAME way at that age. We thought he'd always be on the shy, sensitive side but now that he's almost 6 he is sooo outgoing and can definitely speak up if his feelings are hurt. He's like the party in his preschool class, he loves everyone and talks to everyone. He's still sensitive, but he doesn't freeze up at being uncomfortable and he can articulate his feelings. William will get there with time. :)
I think that's how Lancey is going to be, too. Must be a May 30th birthday thing. But he is learning to stand up for himself...having an obnoxious, rambunctious, pushy little brother helps there. ;)
Oh God, so cute and touching and ALL THE FEELS. So wonderful.
(I want to edit it because I think wonderful in this context might sound weird to you, but what I mean is that he's so open and honest about his feelings, he tries hard to process them, and he's so sweet about doing it. It just makes me feel so happy to have met him.)
