The more you're going to tell yourself you are not worthy and not great, the more you're going to start believing it. If you want to take up a cause, start with this one: believing in yourself first. The last thing you need to be doing is undermining yourself, because (and if I have to get all Stuart Smalley on your ass, I will), guess what, you are special and you are worthy because you're doing the right things with your life... the stuff that is positive for you to grow as a human being.
You've refused to let your feet dry in wet cement. You're on a path. You are not trying to destroy yourself in all the typical ways, so why do the mental takedown on yourself? Are you really so concerned with taking yourself down a few pegs just so you can appear humble or do you believe you are just beating them to the punch?
Don't constantly create mudslides for yourself (unless they're of the drink variety) when rain comes your way. Next time you experience rainfall, do a jig. That's one hell of a way to get muddy if you feel like getting muddy. Or do something practical like take cover and wait until it is over. Just don't make it worse on yourself than it needs to be.
Believe in yourself. The rest will follow.
Or eat some cereal with marshmallows in it.
