What a disgusting, wet, cold, and splashy morning. Umbrellas just don't protect your legs; I need a real raincoat.

I felt bad for the cop who was watching the intersection at our bus stop; she'd forgotten her hat. I felt worse for one of the kids - he was wearing sneakers with a big hole in them.

Yeah, it's pretty squidgy.

Of course, on the other hand, think how much people would be bitching if this was snow. :P

Yesterday was raining like that here, and today it has turned to lots of snow.

I would recommend rain *pants*. You can get them at REI (or other suitable outdoor clothing store). They keep your pants totally dry, especially since you don't have to worry about wearing a dress very often. :) Cheap they are not, but useful they are.

This is NOT the snow day that I ordered, dammit.

This is how I felt yesterday as I got back to the ground floor of the building where I had my interview and discovered that it was pouring rain outside. I felt a bit like an indiscreet super hero as I doffed my pumps and pulled thick socks and waterproof shoes from my bag. Unfortunately, I had my warm wool winter coat and no umbrella. Ran out the door too fast.

But I have decided like you to put on my job wish list a reasonably fashionable spring rain/trench-coat.
