BTK and the heart of darkness
I read a few of the articles detailing BTK's confessions in graphic detail. I really wish I hadn't.
For some reason, I keep thinking about the fact that he was married and had two kids. A perfectly ordinary guy who was coolly and unemotionally able to do horrible terrifying things. I can't imagine finding out that your dad or your spouse is literally a casual methodical sociopathic killer.
