To the Government:
We don't need another stadium! Especially not one that looks like a giant bed-pan that will stick out like a sore thumb on the waterfront! And question? Where will the port go? It can't exactly move to Eden Park. That's inland. And the design is ug-ly. A giant bed-pan?
Buck up your ideas, up-grade North Harbour stadium as there is actually adequate transport up there!
We don't have enough people for a new stadium (hello - there are already 4 stadiums in Auckland) and the country can't afford to spend about $900 million on a stadium on the waterfront just becasue the government wants it! If it goes ahead, everyone will know that the Labour Government of 2006 crippled the country with an eye-sore, that will probably not be finished by 2011 for the World Cup, and again, Australia wil have to take it off our hands.
Nah - here's a new campaign. Take the final to Wellington. They know how to host a good rugby game. The Wellington 7's are awesome-ness!
