LJ ANNOYANCES: No Way to Tell if Someone Reads Your Post

On Multiply, it was nice to be able to see if your post was actually be read or not.  That way you had some idea as to whether or not the topic was interesting without necessarily requiring discussion.  Here... If you do the paid account (which is remarkably cheap), you can tie in Google Analytics. I can't see who is visiting, but I can see roughly where they're from, how many, and where they came from...

Ahhh... $20/year, not $20/month as I originally thought. I will consider this after the finances at home stabilize. Ever since getting the car I've been having a tough time keeping the bank balance anywhere near even $2000 (as in savings). Even a cheap used car kind of wiped us out.

Thanks for the tip.

It kind of makes me feel bad when I don't comment, because there are a lot of posts that are interesting to me, but I have nothing t say on them. I don't want the authors to be discouraged by the lack of feedback.

I think there's an "opt-in" thing for allowing others to see if you visited, but you can only see those who opt-in (and you also have to opt-in).

Hi.

Please assume that I will read your post within 4 days of your posting it. I usually check in two or three times a week.

I actually have good meaning to return to many of them because all the stuff you post about Linux is very translatable to Mac use (and I'm very much a Mac user these days).
