Did you have an epidural?

Nope. Had a shot to help me sleep since I had been up for over 24 hours (damn nesting instinct!), but other than that I was on my own.

You'll do great!

OMG!! You had a natural childbirth?

Like I said, except for the shot to sleep and the lidocaine-stuff when she did the episiotomy, it was all natural, babe:)

Oh, and make sure you get a classy picture of you with baby belly. That's the one thing I regret not doing when I was preggo. Felt like a cow then, but now I wish I could look at it.

That's what I thought about mine, but now I wish I had a picture...

*smile* Just something to think about.

And I agree with the poster below. It hurts like hell, but you forget the pain pretty quickly once they lay that bundle on your chest.

It is a scary thing, but look at it this way, that little boy will come out even if someone has to sit on your stomach to help you push. Just do what you think is best for you and everything will be fine.

Honestly, it hurts like hell, but you survive, and one look at the baby and you don't care how much it hurts :)

the first time I did, the second time I didn't. I actually prefer going natural if you can do it, I felt SO MUCH better afterward, so much more alert and tons more energy just better all around, Lucy was also much more awake.

Either way, we all were fine, you could always go in with the idea of trying natural, and then go for the epidural if you can't take it.
