I've heard mostly that hair dye doesn't cause any issues with a developing baby. I dyed mine at 18 weeks and aside from feeling crappy for some reason, maybe the fumes, no harm was done. I have a friend thats a hair dresser and has dyed hers all throughout her pregnancy.

Ugh sorry for all the weight gain. 0_0 I lost weight in the first half of mine due to anxiety and stuff, so I've only really gained 10-15lbs but we are healthy so the doc hasn't complained.

I know what you mean about the books...I think watching the baby story shows on t.v. are waaaay worse. I've had to avoid them like the plague cuz they reallllly scare me and get my anxiety levels up.

I think I would rather gain weight than have the serious anxiety issues that I've had though. I dunno, I'll trade ya! lol

Ohhhhh, I'm just the opposite. When I get anxious, I don't/can't eat. Are you on anything for your anxiety? I'm on 100mg of zoloft and they have me coming off of klonopin for the last part of pregnancy.

Why are they having you get off klonopin?
I take klonopin, paxil and imiprimine

My doctor says that in the last part of the pregnancy, its good to get off the benzos because they like to hang around in the baby's kidney's after birth. They didn't want me on in it in the first trimester for possible physical deffects but everything is perfectly fine. I was on a really low dose as it was, 0.5mg and I'm down to 0.25 mg.

Well my doc said that if I absolutely am not able to come off of it all together, that we'll just deal with it but he prefers me to get off before birth. Nothing to worry about, its just a precautionary thing. Worst case scenario is the baby crying alot more than a normal newborn because of some withdrawal. If you need to be on it, there is no choice but to stay on. Depending on how it goes, I may have to stay on a low dosage myself.

I am glad you said something.
I am going to ask my OB/GYN when I go next week.

:) Just make sure they know that you need to stay on it and explain the seriousness of the anxiety disorder. Let me know what they tell you.
