Now I remember why I stopped reading the new xxxHOLiC and TRC scans--the other fans! It seems that I can't find any to have an intelligent conversation with--well, I rarely do but there are ones that use their brains instead of panicking after every chapter comes out!!
I swear, they start conversations about the chapters and they don't so much as discuss the chapters as moan about the perceived injustices they see CLAMP doing to their poor fans! If they bothered to ever once re-read the chapters and look at it with an objective mind, they would know that they are ALL OVERREACTING!!!
After TRC 163:
"Oh no, they are killing Kurogane!!"
"If they do I'll never read this again!"
"They can't, he's my favourite!"
...blah, blah, blah...
Now, after TRC 164:
"No, they're killing Ashura!" (Like no one saw that coming and it isn't even confirmed yet that Kurogane managed to kill him)
"Oh, Kurogane came to Fai's rescue *squeel*" (No, he's just going to leave the person he became vampire food for to be choked to death because he has a boo-boo)
and my new personal favourite:
"Oh, I hope Fai kills Ashura because he is the only magic user stronger than Fai that can die without causing my angst to rise to post-Tokyo Babylon level" (of course, the fact that the curse to kill someone stronger than him was already triggered by Sakura in Infinity and the whole point in Ashura's original scheme to get Fai to kill him was the fact that the curse only activates once and then it is gone is totally ignored in favor of moaning!)
Post holic 143:
"Oh, the last three chapters have been dreams!" (Where, exactly, was that said in Chapter 143 anywhere? And everyone assumes that this is a spoiler because one person posted it.)
"They can't kill Watanuki now!"
"Well, because the phantom of Watanuki's old ghost friend told Watanuki in a dream that he might be seeing others in his future dreams as if he was saying a final farewell, then that definitely means that Watanuki is saying goodbye to everyone and disappearing and now we all know it for sure! Let me go angst now."
God, I had hoped for some intelligent responses to my posts, but I forgot my pool of respondents. Let me go shoot myself before I read any more of the 'discussion' drivel.
Now I feel a bit better--my eyebrows aren't cramping anymore. Ranting is good for the soul. And so is sarcasm.
