Greetings: I am a huge ebook reader and this year I’d like to pimp three prominent m/m romance writers and their Series. I have received permission from two of the authors, who I do not think have been nominated before, and the third has, so I’m guessing he’s okay with it. Please consider:
The Adrien English Mystery m/m romance Series A series of four books, so far, with, I think, the last coming toward the end of the year or early next revolving around the relationship of Adrien English, a mystery bookstore owner and amateur sleuth and his (sometime) lover Jake Riordan, a closeted gay cop, with an interesting past. In each, they work together, sometimes reluctantly to solve a murder. Written by Josh Lanyon who has won a number of awards and has been nominated for a Lambda.
Adrien and Jake
Comments: The push-pull between the pair over the first four books is wonderful. And the writing is delicious, especially if you like “hard-boiled” mysteries. Think Raymond Chandler but with hot and flawed but sympathetic characters, intriguing mysteries and marvelously droll humor. The books should be read in order, which is:
1. Fatal Shadows
2. A Dangerous Thing
3. The Hell You Say
4. The Death of the Pirate King
Buy the books here:
Amazon or in ebook format at

Here. He’s wonderfully available to his “fans” and a delightful blogger on writing m/m romance in general.
The PsyCop Series by Jordan Castillo Price. Another m/m romance “mystery” series, with a twist. A “normal” cop/detective - in this case, Jacob Marks is partnered with Carolyn Brinkman “a paranormal” - in Carolyn’s case, she can detect lies, always. Another cop on the force is Victor Bayne, the “Psy” partner, who is a medium and can see ghosts, who has a series of different partners. He (Victor) and Jacob become a couple throughout the series and take on a number of cases where both use their differing gifts to solve a crime. They pursue their relationship also, which is a delicious part of the whole.
The writing is again, like Josh Lanyon’s, “hard-boiled” and wonderfully humorous in parts. The characters are fabulous - especially Vic, who has to overcome a rather inauspicious past. Together they are a formidable pair. Also a terrific supporting cast, particularly Crash, who has a past with Jacob and for whom Ms. Price has written a couple of “side” stories.
Jacob & Vic. But Crash is also an intriguing character that can have innumerable stories written about him.
Comments: Probably best if you read the 5 novels in order, which is:
1. Among The Living
2. Criss Cross
3. Body & Soul
4. Secrets
5. Camp Hell

Here. The Dr. Fell m/m romance Series by Syd McGinley. A wonderfully written, well told BDSM series of stories revolving around Dr. John Fell, PHD and his search for a “forever boy.” After his first sub, Rob, is killed in a senseless gay-bashing, Dr. Fell goes through a long period of grief and introspection which results in his ability to love again and find a new partner. Not only is the set of stories riveting, and the sex hot, but a marvelously diverse and interesting supporting cast is introduced - a group of Doms which has banded together in a foundation to “rescue” lost or abused subs and police one another, and Dr. Fell himself takes on several of these cases. Among these are wonderful stories about “Twink aka Charlie,” who has become a character with faithful followers himself - He even has his own Live Journal blog
Here as well as Ben (Twink’s Dom) and the terrific series of “rescues” themselves - Jamie, Tommy & Rinaldo. Not to be missed is Dr. Ronne (Pol) who taught Dr. Fell just about all he knows about D/s relationships.
Comment - A lot of the Dr. Fell “verse” is told in a series of Ebooks and short stories which can be found at Syd’s page at
Torquere Books, but the whole first set of stories has been compiled in The Complete Dr. Fell Volume One, which can be found at Torquere or at Amazon. Syd has provided a wonderful chronology of all of the various parts and stories
Here.
