Wow did Fame get it right??? Ok ok so i guess being a firefighter or a doctor or something is kinda more difficult, but dammit this week I'm really starting to feel that the Fame teachers were on to something!
As you may or may not know, my students at college are now less than 2 weeks from their Final Major Performance. And since I'm directing half of them in a crappy play called Road I'm STRESSING BIG TIME! Mostly cos we in fact are performing for the first time this Thursday, as part of an open day at Sheffield Hallam Uni. That's right, show goes on at around 8pm Thurs evening. And we are so not ready!!! hehe Well we are but.... we're so not. I only ran the whole thing as a show today, and after cutting it up as much as i did (in a desperate attempt to make it watchable) it's got lots of changes and set moving and arrrrrrrrrgh!!
Still, on the good side there's some really good performacnes coming out, and I'm loving some of the physical sceens I've put in, including a STOMP-esque ending full of chanting and banging and evil eyes. hehehehehehe
Ya know sometimes being a director is cool.
I guess the stressful thing is thinking about the technical sides. All the props, set, lighting, costumes and stuff. I've never really had to worry about that before, but now it's all my responsibility and I have little faith in my technical side. Still I'm sure it'll be fine and if not.... hey i'm moving soon. :o)
IN OTHER LESS BORING NEWS...
Stuff at the pub and stuff has been going wierd for a while now. Suffice to say with things not being great in many ways we've decided to sell up and get out of this god awful place! YEY! *does happy dance* Unfortunatley I'll prob move to Kent soon after but I'm just pleased my family's getting away from all the noise and stress of this damn building. It does mean a lil stress money and job wise for the parentals but this is def the best option for us all. :)
I'm addicted to Pokemon, the gameboy game that is. Have been playing Saphirre lots since Matt gave me his old GB Advance and now I'm catching the lil buggers like crazy. The tactics of battle are slightly confusing, especially when you choose your pokemon by cuteness level like me, but hey I'm having fun. And I gave them all anime names teehee!
Still loving that of course! Tsubasa rocks in so many ways. Gravitation is well funny and Lament of the Lamb is getting scary. Also love Negima which now has a rocking anime so TV/book wise I'm happy.
What else........
Got an application for halls other day, fingers x'd!
Am still emailing Rose Bruford ppl and they all seem cool. Am getting more and more terrified about the move but can't wait at the same time.
And I've just had an amazing weekend with Matt! He told most of it but suffice to say I was smiling all wknd, and am dreading Sept that lil bit more for it.... hehe
Forum's on in less than a month! Got you guys tickets so keep July 16th free cos you're booked!
