I guess summer's officially over, then. I can't remember anything like this before (maybe I haven't been paying enough attention). I literally sunbathed on my balcony on Friday, then worked the weekend (which always takes the whole bloody day), and then, on Monday, I had to wear a scarf and socks. Socks! It's been three months since I last wore socks. And yes, today I had to wear tights with my skirt. It's as painful as I remembered.
I have my very last day off this summer. Saturday is my last day, and good riddance, too. My co-workers are mostly wonderful but otherwise the place is horrible. I'm still pissed off because they make me work on Saturday; it gives me a total of, what, three days before everything starts at the uni. Oh joy. A friend of mine, who left this weekend, actually asked to get the weekend off, saying that she needed to be up at five on Monday to go to school. And she only got Sunday, since they always make sure that the smallest number of people possible are at work on a Sunday because it's so expensive.
So that's the kind of place I spent my summer at.
I took a walk around my new neighbourhood today (yes, I've live here for two months, haven't had the time to do it before this) and was very pleased. It has this old, suburbian, almost country-like feeling about it. Very nice, very nice, especially given that the city centre is at a 20-minute bike ride away. I really like it here.
