All I can say is that I have more work to do in one small span of time than I ever had before. But also equally intense is the excitement and fun of this place and these people. And occasionally homesickness lately. But it's good - maybe I'll find strength in that.

Meg Ennes' Guide to Essay Writing

I have developed an amazing method for writing papers. Whilst procrastinating this one, I will share:

It takes three days to write a paper. One day purely to think. One day to think and "write". One day to write. The first day is for compiling information, rereading any primary texts/info, and jotting down what you may want to mention/central themes/whatever. This is the Michelangelo-looking-at-the-block-of-marble day, effectively. The second day, you continue doing what you did on the first day with every intention of starting to write the paper, but usually this doesn't happen and I usually don't beat myself up about it. It's all up there at this point, it's just down to organization. And then you sleep on it and on the third day you write.

So since I haven't merited a comment in twenty or so entries, how does everyone else handle it?
