that awesome moment when you're playing laser tag and feel like olivia dunham
Even though it's been like 3 weeks since my last real update, I can't think of much to say. Mostly I've just been going to work, plus Big Bang Theory tapings the past couple of weeks (and there's another one tomorrow).
I'm becoming more and more attached to Fringe. When I last posted, I was halfway through rewatching season 1. Well, I finished season 1, rewatched season 2, and then rewatched almost all of season 2 again, and then season 3, with a friend who was catching up.
And then last Friday's episode was fantastic. I couldn't believe it when I looked at the time near the end and it was almost over; I can't remember the last time I was so into an hour-long show that it went by so fast. I'm especially loving the searching for clues and then the debates as fans try to interpret them, so much fun! I'll really be gutted if this show doesn't get renewed.
I watched seasons 1, 3, and 4 of The IT Crowd on netflix last week (for some reason, season 2 isn't available to stream). It had some really funny parts, but then it also had a lot that I was just eh about. I want to eventually see the remaining episodes, but it's not a show that I'll be eager to rewatch.
A couple days ago I played laser tag with some friends, and we all chose Big Bang Theory themed code names! I was Homunculus, and the rest were Green Lantern, The Flash, Bazinga, Frodo, Doppler, and Wheaton. Then about halfway through the game I started feeling like Olivia Dunham (from Fringe), and even changed how I was holding the laser gun to mimic her. I didn't feel like I did that well during the game, but ended up getting second place in our group (third overall, but the guy who got first worked there, and we didn't know he'd be joining in our game).
Um, yesterday I bought a small spiral notebook, and I'm making it my goal to write at least one page every day. I've really gotten out of the writing groove recently, so hopefully this will help. I have a regular sized notebook that I usually carry with me with fic scribbled in it, but it's almost full.
Oh, and I got a jury summons today. It's my second one - I was summoned and picked for a jury about a year and a half ago. This time I'm just calling in, to start with at least, so hopefully I'll never have to actually go to the courthouse.
Think that's about it for now. Considering I originally couldn't think of much to say, not bad at all.
