Tell me which ones you like best.
I'm curious to know.
I really like the tall ones at the glass house that show them and the structure.
I'm also partial to the Giao Slapfest(tm) series.
It is a good feeling to have finished with those.
In other news, I have really taken the Millionaire Course to heart and went to a networking soiree.
I met this guy whose starting a company that will basically be "Extreme Home Makeover" for small businesses.
AND he asked me to be the photographer on his team. AWESOME!
I am just hoping it becomes a TV series and I'll be the one with the megaphone yelling at the others on the team (accountant, graphic designer, marketing/pr person, etc) to motivate them to work FASTER. I'll scream things like, "LET'S WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER PEOPLE". Then, for kicks, I'll blow an airhorn, too.
30-Day Business Makeover. I talked to him today about network tv possibilities. Keep your fingers crossed.
I've always had this secret knowledge that one day I'd be a familiar face from the tube. Now I see my inroad.
Bottom line is I learned that I love human-to-human networking. Mano-a-mano. It is how I am going to build my dynasty and the best thing is that it works very quickly.
I was recently approached by another photog about opening a studio nearby in a nice little downtown area. I like the idea of it, but I don't have the money to invest to warrant splitting the profits 50/50. No problem, he says. Hmm. I decided that what I'd really like is studio time above ownership, what he'd really like is my sweat and photoshop skillz, so I'll just barter my mad skilz for studio time. win-win. we both keep our takes 100%, and if I want to down the road when I've got the cash, I can buy into the business. I think it's going to mainly be about low-grade modeling shots anyways which hold no interest to me. I'm not interested in photographing much of anything in a studio really. Maybe some really weird staged stuff would be fun. This is my challenge- to find something fun to shoot in a studio. Now it doesn't even sound so hard when I put it in this context.
We cleaned our place today and then went out tonight with M's sister et al. to my favorite Italian restaurant. It was so great that it made me feel that I was living a luxurious life. A life of luxury. Yes, I'll have more wine. Try this, try that. A big round table in the corner next to the piano player. You're eating there when you come out M-bird and E-ben. The wine is poured out of a chicken's mouth, and if you've had a lot, then the waitress makes the chicken talk to you after it dispenses your wine. Ahhh, Life.
I'm breaking all my LJ records for entry writing. It harkens back to my earliest LJ days when I switched over from Diaryland and I was in the middle of writing that ill-begotten short story about the wayward 40 year-old Conrad. Does anyone remember that? I barely do.
I'm really enjoying life lately. It's good to be part of a plot.
We're all co-conspirators.
E-ben raised the goblet and so now I must follow suit with my reply.
It's a rough draft but it seems that my purpose is to:
Connect. Communicate. Inspire Action and Interaction.
What's funny is that I relate to and love every other person's purpose I've heard thus far- E-ben's, M's, Pavlina's. I want everyone to write their purpose. I wish everyone was required to wear t-shirts on Tuesdays with their purpose on them. Why not world? Let's just use an old Hanes shirt and a Sharpie; we don't have to make them custom online. Just let's do it.
