My Nikon D70 died on me a few days ago, but luckily it is still covered by its 1-year warranty. So I've been shooting film for all my assignments this week. I have a reflex to flip the camera over and look at the back after almost every shot though. It pains me everytime I see just a black plastic back staring back up at me. No LCD screen. I've still been getting good shots, but it is so sad to get some back and know that if you had seen them you would've been able to make them better. Even though you're fragile D70, I love you, you're so fresh. I'm still trying to buy a polaroid land camera, to no avail. I've even widened my selection- I'll take the Sonar or the SX70. It doesn't care.
Michelle comes back tomorrow morning. Her dad still can't talk or walk, but he can eat again, and that is a huge step. He'll start aggressive rehab on Monday.
Maybe I'll write you a letter with more about that.
