Hi Clara,

I really like how you application starts out. I too love Data, and I can totally see what you mean about Neelix being an example of trying too hard.

I see hints of tactical, operations, and medical in your application. You like leading and inspiring others, which are great tactical skills; you are keen on precise and thoughtful communications, which are great operations skills, and between your anthropology and social work background, and focus on being empathetic, your identification of Troi as your favorite female character, I can see a lot of medical in there too. Your strengths and weaknesses and your explanation of them gives me the same three competing vibes. But when I look to your Kobayashi Maru to see if your choices there give me a clue about where you'd fit best... there's almost no explanation and you didn't pick one for question twenty-two.

Of course you approach life being both planned and orderly and spontaneous... almost all of us would fall into both categories for all of the Kobayashi Maru

Clara, thanks for the application, but I'm sorry to say I can't really get a clear vibe of your character.

I have to agree with my track mate and vote Civilian, but I do hope you reapply.

You have a very promising application, and in some spots I thought I could really start to get a clear picture of you, but then there were some questions that were lacking in depth and clarity. For instance, I didn't really understand your reasoning behind Q9, it was a bit of a non-sequiter, and then it was contradicted in Q10 subdivision; Tactical. There was also the way you approached Q15 which didn't really seem to adress the question. And as paleogymnast said, there was that Q22.

From what I could gather, you seem like a very curious person with a taste for knowledge and social to boot. Your accepting and understanding nature would be great for the Fleet. If you don't make it this time around, I encourage you to try again next semester! Just try giving your app. a second run through to catch any little mistakes and expand on your answers, that's what we

Dittoing everyone else I'm afraid. You seem like a really nice person and I think you'd fit in here really well. However, your application is a bit short and I can't really hit on anything that would let me identify a track. I can see bits and peaces of each but the application isn't really cohesive enough for me to make a decision.

Civilian I'm afraid. But please do come back next round, plump out your answers and let us get a real grip on who you are and you'll fit right in.

As for Q.22? Next time - and I do hope there will be a next time :D - please do just pick the one!

Exploratory Sciences

Your answers to certain questions (most notably Q14 & Q22) make it very difficult for me to place you in one specific field of study. I think the other comments are correct in saying that with a little more expounding, you'd be a marvelous addition to the community, but I just can't figure out (yet) where you would fit the best.

I'm completely on the fence between Tactical and Operations; hopefully a second run of the application would make the distinction clear for me.

So, sadly following the herd and voting Civilian, but as previously stated, if you were to fill the application out next semester with flushed out answers, I think I would be able to get a better reading on your character and vote a track for you.
